Youngblood`s Cafe in Amarillo

Traveling through back home to Arizona, stopped in for a hot breakfast. Fantastic food! Gravy was delcious, biscuits some of the best I've ever had delcious and soft, eggs perfectly cooked over easy. Loved that nothing was over salted, if anything it was a little under salted.. but that's simply personal taste.Wait staff was polite and decently attentive, seemed to favor some customers/regulars for quicker service though. Price was affordable as well. 14$ for full meal, coffee, and giant glass of milk. Recommend if you need a quiet place to grab a hot breakfast in peace.

They have the best chicken fried steak in Amarillo Texas. But everything they serve is delicious. The atmosphere is great also. All the employees are amazing

Best breakfast in Texas! Warm friendly atmosphere. Great service. And lunch is excellent too. Could stay all day if they were only open for dinner.

This place is always very good.My favorite is their pot roast .On the lunch special on Fridays.i like that they have lunch special a mon. thru fri.Never had anything here I didn't like .Its like grandma's cooking

Great breakfast- brunch orientated fare with Texas comfort foods like Chicken Fried Steak, Tex-Mex enchilada stacks topped with fried eggs, peach and blackberry cobblers and biscuits and gravy and all at affordable prices !! Open early (6 AM) and close early (2 PM).

Best chicken fried steak in town and awesome breakfast. If you need to cater an event, they are excellent.

In town to attend AC Graduation. We decided to give Youngblood’s a try for the Chicken Fried Steak. OUTSTANDING! Great seasonings, just enough crunch, gravy and mashed potatoes were equally yummy. The iced tea was fresh and crisp. Large seating area, no wait. Wait staff were very good.

Nice place for breakfast. We both had breakfast burritos and loved them. The coffee could be a bit stronger. We didn’t like that the staff didn’t wear masks during COVID after the masks were mandatory in public places! Place was quite dirty. Giving 4 starts just for the food - good taste and cheap as well!

Kind of hidden away, if you’re not from Amarillo, Google Maps got me there!!! ALL of the staff were friendly, my waitress, Corey, was so nice and took time to talk to me about the menu and what some of the cute names of items were, she told me about the specials for the day, bacon wrapped meatloaf or tingas!!!! Never heard of Tingas, they’re the BEST!!!!!This experience turned a not so good day into a great day!! The atmosphere was great, great food, great service they put a smile on my face and in my heart!!!!!!Thank you Youngblood’s!!!!

Googled best place to eat and this place popped up. Celebrities and locals alike eat here. First noticed plenty of cars in the parking lot at lunch time. Staff was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was busy and fun and nice Texas decor was everywhere. Love the variety in the menu. Portions were huge. Food was awesome!

Youngblood's has a terrific menu and very good food. Their salads and homemade soups are also delicious! The staff are always friendly and genuinely glad to see and serve you.

If I lived in Amarillo, I'd eat here all the time. Super fast service, our coffee cups were topped off after just about every sip. The food was awesome, green chili and cheese omelette, and inexpensive.

Just a great "home-style" place with home cooking. Breakfast is always good but all other meals are good as well. Friendly staff and service. Very reasonably priced!

The food here is consistently delicious. the lunch specials are a great price and they don't skimp on portions. The breakfast is great too. They serve their drinks in big glasses so even if they are really busy we don't get thirsty.

This place is always great. There's always a crowd too but they have seating to accommodate. I've never really had to wait. I eat here at least once a month and the food is always on point. I've had one bad experience where my catfish was way too salty, but I didn't bring it to their attention, so I won't hold it against them. Awesome breakfast! Get the Vicki's burrito. Awesome lunch! Catfish and Chicken fried steak are fantastic. It's a home-style, down to earth joint that consistently steps up to the plate. Also, they give a free dessert for lunch. Don't miss out! Have you some southern home cooking! You won't be disappointed.

Busy Western diner serving up hearty meals

Family dining breakfast is until 11am, lunch until 2pm and evening until 7pm. Selection is line with hamburger, sandwiches with sides of fries and vegetables, chicken fried meats, steaks from petite to 20oz. The person who prepared the steaks did an excellent job in grilling them to specifications of medium rare to medium well. Potatoes, mashed, baked, loaded and specialty house potato, other vegetables well prepared. Great dining experience.

Great service, very clean. My husband had an omlet and I ordered a hamburger. It had cheese, avacado , lettuce and tomatoes. They we're both very good.

I like the atmosphere of Youngblood's and most of the staff is friendly ... but one lady in particular who works as the hostess, is rude. Also can be a bit pricey for the quality of what you're getting. I personally prefer Calico County these days.

Loved it! The aesthetic of Youngblood's made me feel warm and cozy as if I was in the comfort of my home. The staff was at the ready whenever I needed refills or any help. The food was great I got the chicken fried steak which was full of flavor. I specifically enjoyed the gravy. I'm not usually a fan of gravy, but their gravy had a taste of bacon and was not full of pepper. I will definitely be returning.

We stopped for breakfast passing through on vacation. We sat immediately and the food was quick. The food was good. The service was great. And the pancakes were huge! Yummy!
